Dinner and a Movie, Well Almost

On New Years Eve Nate and I went to Outback for dinner. We figured we would have an early dinner and go see a movie. I know, I know, big plans right?!? Well we got to the restaurant at 5 like we've done at other places years past. When we got there the place was packed. Forty minute wait for just the two of us! Two different parties jumped into tables that hadn't been bussed yet pushing our wait to almost and hour. We would have gone someplace else under normal circumstances, but by the time we made it anywhere else we would of had to wait just as long.

Once we got seated we were actually served quite fast. The food was amazing. I highly recommend the Ahi Tuna appetizer. It was delicious. If you like sushi this is a great option with a down under twist. YUMMY!!! Long story short, Nate and I stuffed our faces and skipped the movie. We went home instead, and enjoyed one another's company until I fell asleep somewhere around 10. Here is to next year! Cheers!

Elaine, at Clothed Much has been featuring rule breaking bloggers. Well I broke my own rule today. It was freezing cold out, so I wore tights and peep toes. Oh, the horror! It wasn't too bad actually. I didn't mind it as much as I thought I would. Who knows, maybe next time I'll wear socks and pumps?

Free is a Great Price

Dolce and Gabbana pashima at the amazing price of FREE. Yes please! I found it a while ago at work, and nobody has claimed it for over two years. As the manager I get first dibs on any items unclaimed. The label is attached and it is in wonderful condition. Now for how to wear it. I'm unsure of how I should wear it. However, I thought this turned out ok. Let me know what you think. Also, leave me any suggestions you may have on how to wear it.

Little Less Edgy This time

The last time I wore this tank I paired it with dark wash skinny jeans and gladiator heels. This time I went a more casual route with khakis, a cardigan, and flat sandals. I think the outfit turned ok, but I felt very awkward when taking pictures. Hopefully, I didn't actually look awkward all day. I probably just waited to long to take pictures, and was too tired.

These sandals have been a casual summer staple, and they have followed me into the fall transition phase quite well. I have definitely got my money out of them. I'm thankful to see for cheap Target shoes they held up very well, and should make it to next spring/summer too. What summer items are you hanging on to for fall?

Ice Ice Baby

This crocheted jacket is such a pretty color of ice blue, but as pretty as I think it is I always have issues wearing it. It tends to bag as the day goes on. As you can see in the pictures it is hanging off my shoulder oddly.  That is something I find quite irritating. I think this is the last time I will wear it, and it will find its way to the donation pile. As for the pencil skirt I thrifted a while back, I Love it more and more each time I wear it. I love full skirts, but something about a fitted pencil skirt just makes me feel professional. However, that puts me on the verge of being over dressed for my job. Do you ever feel awkward being over dressed for something? I live in a place that more often than not I'm one of the most dressed up people there. At least one of a handful of people that looked put together. Living in a college town will do that to you.

I'm excited that it is time for me to pull out my darker fall/winter polishes. I'm wearing OPI's Siberian Nights right now. Nice dark purple color. However, it didn't look so nice when splattered all over my shoes and dress pants. See the whole story here. What fall polish colors are you using?

Denim on Denim

I haven't done this look before. I've always been scared of looking like my day minus the cowboy hat and boots. I think I pulled it off OK. It isn't my most favorite look ever, but I needed something modest and comfy for nursery work Saturday night. How do you feel about denim on denim?

Feeling Fun and Fancy Free

The Bean spent the night at my Mom's after her party yesterday and Nate was at work, so that left me with plenty of free time on my hands. I took Nate to work, so I could have the car in case I wanted to do something. I am not shopping right now, since I got so many new things on my trip. However, window shopping of some sort sounded fun. I headed out to Kohl's, and tried some things on. See my review I came home, and had just enough time to paint my nails before picking Nate up from work. I wanted something kind of fun, so I went with a sea foam green color. Just a little summery, but it fits the cooler weather we have had too.
