Purple Rain

This is the first time I've actually been really happy with how I've worn this dress. I liked all of the purple together. What do you think? It was thisclose to being banished away to the donation pile. I think I'm happy I saved it for at least one more wear.

Can you feel the high?

I've got a Black Eyed Peas song stuck in my head. Do you know what song I'm talking about? I honestly, don't know the name of the song. Fergie sings the title line, and that is as much as I can come up with. Why is this song stuck in my head? I'm in the process of picking out more music for my dance classes. The adult tap class I teach wants to do more street style tap, and I need some funkier music. Any good suggestions? What are you listening to these days?

The Scoop
Shirt- NY and Co.
Cami- Old Navy
Pants- NY and Co.
Shoes- Target
Have I told you lately how fantastically, comfortable these shoes are? I'm a bit sad to not be able to wear them as much this winter. Any suggestions to make them more cold weather friendly?

30 for 30: Outfit #23

I can't come up with a better way to make this skirt wearable for the duration of the now VERY COLD 30 for 30 challenge. So, sweater tights it is. Hey, at least they are bright colors! Also, I styled the rest of the outfit differently. That makes it ok right? I should also let you know that I've edited pictures for and written seven posts all in one day. That means I'm running out of witty things to say. I also, have my daughter sleeping in my arms while doing this. She hasn't been feeling the greatest, and since I'm gone a lot now I'm enjoying the extra cuddle time while she gets the rest she needs.

The Scoop
Shirt- Target
Skirt- Old Navy
Belt- Husband's ?
Tights- Target

30 for 30: Outfit #10

Does anybody else regret a few of there 30 for 30 pieces due to the changing weather? I included my denim skirt, because, we had weeks of wonderful 70+ weather. Unfortunately, just after the challenge started the weather dropped dramatically. We even had 4" of snow over the weekend. Let me tell you I wasn't to happy about that.

Well, I'm not giving up on this skirt regardless of the weather. I decided to wear some fun, colorful sweater tights. I actually really like the look. I thought at first I would feel like a little kid. The kiddos I watch at nursery have pulled out there sweater tights, and today I joined them.

Pink, Pink, Pink

I need to get a hold of Target, because, I'm a walking advertisement for them 80% off the time. Today's outfit is no different. I should at least get a gift card for this right? Not only am I mostly Target clothed today. I am also wearing a lot of pink today. Not quite monochromatic, but cute none the less. I think adding pink pants would have been a little to much for me.

How do you feel about monochromatic dressing? Is it ok in more neutral colors, but a tad to overwhelming in brighter colors? Tell me your thoughts?

Western Flair

The hubs loved this outfit, but I couldn't shake the slight cowgirl vibe it gave. No don't get me wrong. There is nothing wrong with some good old Western twang to your wardrobe every now and than. I was just overexposed to it as a child, and it brings back some not always pleasant memories. Anyway, I surprisingly like this outfit.

I'm drawing on zero inspiration for fall outfits. I just don't have a lot of time with my new schedule to scour style blogs anymore. Am I all alone in my lack of panache for fall styling? I also, have a lack of fall/winter clothing. I think it is time for a thrifting trip again.

The Scoop
Shirt- Walmart
Cami- Old Navy
Jeans- Target
Shoes- Steve Madden via DSW
